About The Project
A lovely family approached us from Cranfield, Milton Keynes, where we completed an absolutely stunning dormer loft conversion. They contacted us in need of a new master bedroom, ensuite and dressing area. After presenting the family with a great design, they were blown away and were eager to start the loft conversion.

What We Did:
The team at DJ Moore Lofts responded to the families request for a loft conversion with a rough quote, and gave them some ideas on what could be done to bring the room to life. The team wanted to optimise the client’s loft space into a beautiful new room for the family. In order to present an array of design ideas to the client, we showed them similar jobs that we have completed in the past, creating a mood board of ideas.
After conducting the survey in the prospective room, we went away and created a design that worked perfectly for the family. The family were astounded with the design due to it being exactly what they were looking for. They were over the moon with the space we designed and had no further changes, so wanted to kickstart the loft conversion straight away!
The team began the project, with our design team starting all the works ready for us to commence the conversion on the agreed start date. We suggested some ways the family could optimise the loft space; for example, keeping the door at the bottom of the stairs. By doing this, it allowed us to keep the loft open plan and made the space feel bigger.
The team created a 2 x 1200mm wide pitched roof dormer to the front of the home with matching Hardie Plank Cladding to coordinate the render colour of the home. The dormer sits perfectly amongst the roof space, merging into the original roof, allowing the conversion not to stand out.
The DJ Moore Lofts team made another instalment, incorporating 3 x MK06 Velux Roof Windows to the rear of the room; this helps to make the loft area feel bright and spacious. The client has since fitted solar black blinds as well as a new Velux active kit to be able to control the blinds from their smartphone, giving them that added luxury touch.
For the ensuite, the client bought their bathroom from a local company we thoroughly recommended, called PHS in Bletchley. Every item PHS supplied were to the highest quality and made the bathroom area a stunning space. The bathroom had many practical elements installed, and our tiler, Nick, brought the room to life with stunning colours. This brought the bathroom together to make a beautiful room for the homeowners.
The fantastic DJ Moore Lofts team completed a stunning build on time and within the clients budget; this made the client extremely happy with the finished loft conversion, which looked great. This loft is a perfect example of what anyone could do with a dark unused attic, no matter the size they have to work with, becoming a beloved and favourite room within the home!
