About The Project

Here we have a very large Velux conversion completed by our team for a lovely family looking to create a Velux conversion in Bedford. This project has two bedrooms with Velux roof windows and a rear pitched roof dormer built to create the needed spaces for a family bathroom to cater to both of the new rooms.

What We Did:

The rooms are a great size and filled with natural light thanks to the large SK06 Velux roof windows, creating the perfect space to create the two girls bedrooms. During this project, we also built fully bespoke wardrobes for both bedrooms, designed by the daughters. This made sure that they got exactly what they wanted, and the wardrobes fitted perfectly in their bedroom.

The stairs fitted perfectly on the existing landing, and the only thing we had to relocate was a landing rad, which meant there was no lost space to the existing landing or 1st-floor layout.

The loft bathroom is fitted in a rear pitched roof dormer that is finished with matching roof tiles and clad in Hardie plank, which beautifully matched the estate perfectly. The bathroom was again designed by the two daughters and fitted with these great Pink Metro wall tiles!

What The Client Said

"We are so delighted with our loft extension and garage conversion. It looks absolutely amazing and has transformed our house into our perfect forever home.

Dan and the whole team were brilliant to deal with. They have a really structured and professional approach which gave us great confidence.

All of the team were really friendly and great to have around, nothing was too much trouble, and they were happy to accommodate additional requests as we went through the build.

Even the challenges of Covid-19 and lockdown were dealt with seamlessly.

We would 100% recommend anyone thinking about a loft conversion to consider using D J Moore. Great end product and a brilliant team to work with!!"
