What We Did:

With the help of our structural engineers, we were able to help achieve the extra necessities to start the conversion for the client. This included working alongside our building control team to ensure the potential build met with the correct building regulations, of which they did.

We initiated the build by having professionals erect scaffolding at the rear of the home; this was to enable our team to access the loft. This meant the team had minimum contact with the clients, which was essential due to the outbreak of coronavirus, putting both the client and our team at ease. We also took extra precautions, including providing additional resources to the team to ensure regular deep cleaning took place during the build, as well as hand sanitisers being provided to all DJ Moore Lofts team members.

The structural stage was fully completed within the first week of the build and gave the client a first-hand view of the created space they had to work with. The clients were thrilled with the space, and remarked that it was more than what they imagined.

The finished rear dormer came together perfectly. Styled in Iron grey cladding, the finish seamlessly worked well alongside the anthracite-coloured Juliet balcony. When completed, the loft looked stunning and is one of Director Dan’s favourite styles of dormer loft conversions.

During the build, the client had mentioned that they wanted to fit extra wardrobes into the finished loft. We happily supplied a design, of which the client fell in love with. We then created and installed the fully bespoke mirrored wardrobes into their design.

Overall, the dormer loft conversion was completed inside the 5-week deadline given to the client, which allowed them to kickstart the decorating early. All in all, we have completed a gorgeous loft conversion which the client loved.
