About The Project
Here is a stunning Loft Conversion completed for a family in Northampton. We have designed and built this creative space to incorporate two large bedrooms and a stunning bathroom.
We handled all the designs and permissions for the whole build and completed a few extra items requested by the client during the process.
The loft was initially a great size, and it was clear from the beginning it had a lot of potential to give the client the space they were looking for. We recommended a Velux Conversion with the idea to make the space as large as possible, but also keep it light and open.
What We Did:
Once the scaffolding was put up, we started and took delivery of a large amount of steel and materials that were needed to complete the job. Once the formative stage was completed and showed the large space available, we had a meeting with the client to discuss the 6 X MK06 Velux window positions, along with the bathroom layout and location of the electrics.
We then ordered the bespoke set of stairs. With the client looking to upgrade the pine to something different and more stylish, we recommended replacing the handrail and ball caps to oak. We were also asked to do this on the existing handrails and ball caps to match perfectly with the new loft stairs. We then painted the existing dark stained spindles and stairs to a bright white to change the whole look and feel of the hallway.
The clients were keen to get the bathroom they had always dreamed of. So we worked very hard to give them the desired finish, and with a few changes here and there we managed to create a simply stunning bathroom with a large shower area, four tiled soap boxes, a free-standing bath, and floor mounted taps with a wall basin. The bathroom was all brought to life with the addition of the MK06 Velux roof window that allowed for plenty of natural light. The clients then chose some beautiful tiles which were installed by our highly skilled tiler.
We even handled all the painting and decorating for this client, using fantastic colours chosen by the client that work really with the space and made the loft look amazing.
